Jorge Escobar
Managing Partner & Co-CEO

Jorge Escobar is the co-founder of Black Salmon, a Miami-based real estate investment and development firm established in March 2017 alongside his business partner, Camilo López. Prior to launching Black Salmon, they were managing partners at TSG Group, a development company founded in 2008 and later merged with Black Salmon.
With over 20 years of experience in international private banking, Jorge has led investment strategies and advisory teams for high-net-worth individuals across Latin America, the United States, and Europe.
During his time at HSBC Bank N.A., he held several senior global roles within the Private Bank, ultimately serving as Global Market Head for Chile, based in Miami. He previously oversaw the Argentina and Uruguay markets, managing over $5 billion in financial assets and leading a team of more than 25 private bankers.
Jorge was also a member of HSBC’s Investment and Product Committee, where he played a key role structuring real estate investment vehicles across the United States and Europe. During this time, he participated in multiple club deals alongside Blackstone and the HSBC Real Estate Group, gaining deep insight into the institutional real estate sector.
Prior to HSBC, he served as Head of Private Banking at ABN AMRO, overseeing the Chile, Peru, and Argentina markets. He also held executive roles at BankBoston Private Bank and began his career as a financial advisor at Citigroup.
Since 2012, Jorge has been actively involved in international real estate investments, combining his strategic vision with institutional expertise.
Born in Santiago, Chile, Jorge brings together a solid background in global banking with an entrepreneurial spirit, allowing him to successfully lead investment platforms with a global reach.
