Gabriella Giraudo
Head of Design
Gabriella Giraudo is an interior designer based in Miami whose work brings together artistic intuition, architectural thinking, and an understanding of how spaces come to life. With a creative foundation in art and architectural studies in Italy, followed by interior design studies in Miami, she approaches design through both composition and experience: the movement of light, the relationship between materials, and the proportions that make a space feel right.
Her experience spans luxury residential interiors, multifamily developments, and commercial environments, with a career that includes Adriana Hoyos Design Studio, Meshberg Group, DesignBAR, and 1508 London, where she served as Senior Interior Designer. Working across concept development, custom furniture and millwork, construction documentation, and project coordination has shaped her ability to move between the larger vision and the smallest detail.
As Creative Development Head at Black Salmon, Gabriella brings a designer’s perspective to the development process. She guides creative direction and connects ownership with architecture, interiors, landscape, engineering, and branding teams, helping translate ambitious ideas into cohesive, buildable spaces. Her work requires more than a discerning eye: it calls for clear decisions, thoughtful collaboration, and the ability to protect design intent while navigating budgets, schedules, and construction realities.
Alongside this role, she is co-founder of Chiaroscuro Design Studio. She also teaches as an Adjunct Professor at Istituto Marangoni Miami, mentoring emerging interior designers as they develop their ideas and learn to communicate them with confidence.
Across her practice and teaching, Gabriella is interested in design that has both character and purpose. Her approach is attentive to context, expressive in its use of materials, and grounded in the lives that will occupy a space. For her, the most compelling interiors do more than create a beautiful image, they reveal their quality through the experience of being there.
