As part of its industrial fund, Black Salmon acquired a 50-acre development site strategically located only 4.5 miles from the Port of Savannah and 3.7 miles from I-95. Together with our operating partner, we are building a Class A truck-terminal and transload facility with approximately 120 dock doors and 600 truck parking stalls.
The Port of Savannah is the fourth-busiest container port in the United States and the fastest-growing port in the country. In the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022, Savannah's docks handled nearly 5.8 million container units of imports and exports, an increase of 8% from the previous year, when the port exceeded 5 million container units for the first time.
